Report: Next 100 days deadliest on roads, increase in teen drivers

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — It's the last day of school for students in Clark County School District.

Plenty of teen drivers are ready to get behind the wheel and enjoy their summer break, but experts say this is the deadliest time of year on the roads.

According to data analyzed by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, during the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day crashes involving teen drivers kill an average of 10 people per day.

That's a 14% increase compared to the rest of the year.
