Missing North Las Vegas man found dead

UPDATE: Richard Boisy Jr. was found dead near Dutchman's Pass on Saturday morning. Officials do not suspect foul play at this time. His cause of death is pending.

Police need help locating a North Las Vegas man who went missing from his North Las Vegas home yesterday morning.

81-year-old Richard Boisy Jr. left his home early on Thursday in the 6100 block of Rising Circle and has not returned since.

His family reports Richard may have early onset dementia (undiagnosed at this time). He has left home and gotten lost before.   At that time he was located in another state.  Richard is an African American male, 6’0” tall and weighs 161 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a black jacket, multi-color flannel shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.  Richard was driving a dark blue 1993 Chevrolet 1500 Z71 pickup truck bearing Nevada license plate (170FDS).

All hospitals are asked to check their registries for Richard Boisy, or any John Doe matching the above description, and to notify police immediately if found. It should be noted that HIPPA permits disclosure upon request to Law Enforcement, and is authorized pursuant, 45 C.F.R. section 154.512.
