A serious crash temporarily closed the southbound lanes of U.S. 95 near Durango Drive in the Centennial Hills area.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, a black Ford Explorer hit a concrete barrier underneath an overpass.
The driver, who was temporarily trapped, suffered serious injuries. Another person, a male who was in the backseat, was thrown through the windshield and suffered critical injuries. Two other passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The crash was reported at approximately 1:35 p.m. The lanes were temporarily closed so an air ambulance could land at the scene to transport the person with critical injuries to UMC Trauma.
The other 3 people were also transported to UMC Trauma.
