Four people were displaced in a Sunday morning apartment fire.

Las Vegas and Clark County firefighters responded to the La Fiesta Apartments, near Lamb Boulevard and Owens Avenue, around 6:30 a.m. for an apartment fire.

Fire dispatchers received 911 calls that a bedroom was on fire in an apartment in the 1400 of North Lamb Boulevard.  On arrival firefighters found heavy smoke coming out a window of an upstairs apartment of a two story wood frame/stucco apartment building.

Firefighters entered the apartment and found the fire was confined to one bedroom.  They had the fire under control in just a few minutes. Firefighters were able to hold the fire to the bedroom, which was gutted by the fire. The rest of the bedroom had some heat and smoke damage.
A vacant apartment below had minor water damage.  Damage was estimated at $20,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The American Red Cross is assisting two adults and two small children that are displaced by the fire.

There were no reported injuries during the incident.
