Coroner identifies 33-year-old man who died while swimming at Lake Mead

A 33-year-old male died at Lake Mead National Recreation Area while swimming June 28.
 
At 3:33 p.m., the Lake Mead Interagency Communication Center received a report of a possible drowning at Special Events Beach in the Boulder Beach area.
 
National Park Service rangers, Nevada Department of Wildlife wardens and Community Ambulance responded and found three people in the water. They were rescued by boat and brought to safety.
 
The victim was pulled from the water by bystanders and was unconscious, CPR was then performed. He was pronounced dead at 4:18 p.m.

Reports say that he was not wearing a life jacket at the time.
 
The incident is under investigation.

The man has been identified as Marco Ruvalcaba of Las Vegas. His cause of death has not yet been determined.
