Three people were displaced in a North Las Vegas house fire Friday afternoon.
The city of North Las Vegas Fire Department responded to 6536 Arrowbear Lane, near Centennial and Camino Eldorado parkways.
Numerous calls from witnesses came in beginning at 2:28 p.m. Upon arrival of the first firefighters at 2:33 p.m., they found a two-story, single-family home with heavy smoke and flames showing from a four-car garage.
Once crews were on scene they identified the family who were able to get outside the home safely. There was a man, woman and child who lived at the house and was home at the time of the fire. None of the occupants we injured.
The North Las Vegas Fire Department was able to contain the fire to the involved home, saving the immediately adjacent structures from any damage. The main fire was extinguished within 20 minutes of the first firefighters' arrival.
There were no injuries to firefighters or bystanders to report. The fire took approximately 50 minutes to completely contain.
Red Cross will be assisting the occupants.
The house sustained severe smoke and flame damage. The estimated cost of damage is $150,000. The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental.
