UPDATE: Coroner identifies bicyclist killed Saturday

UPDATE OCT. 30: The Clark County coroner has identified the bicyclist killed on Saturday as 56-year-old Richard F. Trujillo of Las Vegas.


HENDERSON (KTNV) -- A bicyclist is dead after colliding with a vehicle around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Henderson police say that the driver of a Ford Escape and three bicyclists were all traveling southbound on Via Inspirada south of Volunteer Boulevard. The Ford may have clipped the three bicyclists, two of which had to be taken to the hospital.

Officials say one of the injured bicyclists succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.

Southbound Via Inspirada will be closed for about four hours near Volunteer Boulevard while police investigate the case.
