Two Las Vegas residents died in a crash over the weekend in San Diego.

On Sunday, police said that Brenda Alejandra Vasquez, 22, was driving a Nissan Versa on Interstate 805 when the vehicle veered to the right, struck a guardrail and overturned. The vehicle continued and struck an overpass support column.

Vasquez's husband, 23-year-old Sergio Manzo, the front passenger, was also killed in the crash.

San Diego firefighters removed the roof and left-side doors of the Versa to reach the crash victims inside, according to KGTV.

Three others, all San Diego residents, also received serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.
