The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on U.S. Highway 50 that killed two teenagers and injured two other people about near Stagecoach about 35 miles east of Carson City.
The patrol said Friday 18-year-old Stacie Ochoa of Stagecoach was killed when she failed to yield the right-of-way and pulled the black Honda she was driving in front of a silver Ford pickup that struck the Honda between Dayton and Silver Springs at about 3 p.m. Thursday.
A 17-year-old female passenger also died in the crash that temporarily shut down the highway. Her name has not been released.
The driver and passenger of the Ford F-350 were treated for unspecified injuries.
The patrol says impairment is not believed to have played a role in the crash.
