LATEST UPDATE: The teens involved in the fatal crash over the weekend had been drinking in the desert prior to the rollover, according to an arrest report for the driver.
Officers who responded to scene found several bottles of alcohol in backpacks.
There were 5 teenagers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. All of the occupants were under the legal age for possession and consumption of alcohol.
UPDATE MAY 14: The coroner has identified the deceased as 16-year-old Makenzzi Lea Nix of Las Vegas. Cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle collision.

One teenager is dead and four others are injured after a pickup truck overturned near Kyle Canyon Road and Sky Pointe Drive.
The crash happened around 9:57 p.m. Friday. A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south on Sky Pointe Drive when the vehicle left the roadway to the right. The driver steered the truck back onto the road where it overturned.
All five people in the pickup, including two people sitting in the bed of the pickup, were ejected when the vehicle rolled over.
Emergency crews transported the vehicle's occupants to the hospital. The front right passenger was pronounced dead after arriving at Mountain View Hospital.
Police say the 19-year-old driver, Nina Gateley, displayed signs of impairment and was charged with driving under the influence.

This marks the 44th traffic fatality under the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2018. The rollover remains under investigation.
