Clark County Museum opens ‘How We Mourned' exhibit with select artifacts from 1 October memorials.

Objects left behind by residents and visitors at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign and Reno Street makeshift memorials will be on display for a limited time at the museum.

With the help of volunteers and staff, more than 12,000 artifacts have been cataloged, according to the county.

“The outpouring of love and support for Las Vegas after what this community endured was a bright spot in an otherwise terrible episode in our history,” said Commissioner Jim Gibson.

The 'How We Mourned: Selected Artifacts from the October 1 Memorials' temporary exhibit will be open from Sept. 28 through Feb. 24.
