2:05 P.M.

Henderson police responded to a home in the 100 block of Texas Avenue, near Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Parkway, with reports of an unresponsive 1-year-old in a bathtub. Medical personnel transported the boy to the hospital in unknown condition.     

11:30 A.M.

McCarran Airport officials said an engine fire was reported on a JetBlue flight while it was taxiing before takeoff. The fire was extinguished but the plane was forced to return to the gate. Airline officials said the flight was headed to Boston. There were 146 passengers on board and the plane was taken out of service for inspection after this incident.
