LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The holidays aren't just the most wonderful time of the year, they can also be the most expensive.

Between gifts, food, and decorations, some will enter the New Year with a lot of debt.

Experts say while credit cards can be useful, they can also be pretty pricey if consumers don't plan on paying off the balance in the next month.

They also don't suggest taking out any loans to buy gifts and strongly suggest making a budget and sticking to it.
