What do a coat rack, a vacuum cleaner and coloring books have in common? They were all top-selling items for Amazon during the 2015 Holiday season.
In a press release Monday the online retailer released details about its sales for the Holiday season, including a list of its best sellers in a number of categories.
The best sellers included:
HOME IMPROVEMENT: Roommates Star Wars Classic Peel And Stick Wall Decals
PATIO, LAWN & GARDEN: Bounty Hunter Gold Digger Metal Detector
PRIME MUSIC (songs): Adele—“Hello”; Walk the Moon—“Shut up and Dance”; Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars—“Uptown Funk”
In addition to providing insight to their best-sellers, Amazon also called 2015 a "record breaker" for the company. Amazon reportedly saw three million people join its Prime service during the third week of December, as Holiday procrastinators took advantage of Prime's free two-day shipping. It's no coincidence that Christmas Eve was the biggest day for Prime deliveries.
Amazon also said that 70 percent of Holiday season orders were made on a mobile device.
