The Latest on a fatal hit-and-run accident on the edge of downtown Reno (all times local):

Reno police have arrested hit-and-run suspect who was trying to get his windshield fixed hours after the fatal accident on the edge of downtown.

Police say an employee at a local glass shop who had been alerted by media reports called police when a 26-year-old man arrived Friday morning seeking repairs to the windshield on his car.

Sgt. Joe Lever says Cruz Ochoa of Reno has been arrested for suspicion of hit-and-run causing death, hit-and-run failing to render aid, passing a vehicle stopped at a crosswalk and driving without a driver's license.

He's suspected in the death of a 66-year-old Reno man who was struck and killed shortly after 4 a.m. Friday at the intersection Sixth Street and Wells Avenue. It's not clear if he has a lawyer or will be appointed one.

Reno police have released a description of the suspect's vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run accident on the edge of downtown, and Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Police say a 66-year-old Reno man was killed when he was struck by a yellow, Chevrolet Monte Carlo shortly after 4 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Sixth Street and Wells Avenue.

Witnesses say the suspect's vehicle did not stop at the scene and last was spotted fleeing south on Wells Avenue.

The victim's name has not been released.

Reno police are looking for a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run accident on the edge of downtown.

Police say a man died early Friday after he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Sixth Street and Wells Avenue at about 4 a.m.

Investigators believe the victim was walking in a crosswalk but may not have made it across the street before the signal changed.

The driver had fled by the time officers arrived on the scene.

The victim's name has not been released and police have not provided a description of the suspect's vehicle.
