ELKO, Nev. (AP) — A northeast Nevada man who spent time in prison for a drunken driving crash that injured a toddler in 2009 has been arrested again for driving under the influence in Elko County.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports 35-year-old Leonard Treis Jr. of Spring Creek was arrested at about 11 p.m. Friday on the Jiggs Highway south of Elko.

Treis pleaded no contest to a felony DUI charge after a crash in July 2009 in which a 2-year-old suffered a broken pelvis.

Deputies said Treis was drunk, speeding and failed to properly restrain the child. His vehicle struck a fence and rolled over. He was sentenced in September 2009 to 32 months to 12 years in prison.

Treis was being held Monday on $50,470 bail. It's not clear if he has a lawyer or will be appointed one.
