3:43 P.M.

A customer was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery at a small clothing store at 2013 East Charleston Boulevard, near Eastern Avenue. Police say the suspects are described as black males. They left inside a white vehicle. 

12:42 P.M.

Police say a vehicle crashed into another car, then hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Spring Mountain Road and Decatur Boulevard. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while the driver was also transported with non-life threatening injuries. Roads are closed while police investigate the crash.

NOON

A fire caused $30,000 in damage at an apartment building near Washington Avenue and Lamb Boulevard. The fire started around 4 a.m. No one was home at the time. Three people contacted the American Red Cross for assistance. The cause is still under investigation.

11:23 A.M.

Police say a good Samaritan was killed after trying to stop a woman who had stolen items from a convenience store. READ MORE.
