LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The RTC has shared information regarding a traffic incident in Spring Valley.

According to the RTC, a crash has shut down westbound Tropicana Avenue at Grand Canyon Drive.
We reached out to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) to learn more about about this event.
Metro shared that a Salvation Army bus was stolen near 211 West Judson Avenue around 6:30 p.m. At the time of the theft, police said a passenger was believed to be onboard, prompting a police pursuit from the North Las Vegas Police Department.
During the pursuit, LVMPD said "the bus traveled through portions of the valley during which the vehicle was driven recklessly and sustained tire failures." It ended when police confirmed that there were no passengers on the bus.
North Las Vegas Police later clarified that during the pursuit, the passenger had been let off.

LVMPD's Air Unit tracked the bus until it ran a red light at Tropicana Avenue and Grand Canyon Drive, where it collided with a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene, Metro said.
Following the crash, the suspect attempted to flee on foot before LVMPD and NLVPD took them into custody.
The driver of the transit bus showed signs of impairment and faces charges related to DUI and hit-and-run.
Jalen Felton, 24, is held at the Clark County jail on charges of grand larceny of a motor vehicle, second-degree kidnapping, possessing a stolen vehicle, and obstructing and resisting a police officer.
This is a developing story.
