LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — We're learning about a fatal crash that took place at northbound 215 and Far Hills Avenue early Saturday morning.

According to Nevada State Police (NSP), a crash was reported around 2:56 a.m. in the area involving a pedestrian and a silver 2004 Toyota 4Runner.

The Toyota was traveling northbound on the 215 when a pedestrian entered into its path, resulting in a crash.

The pedestrian, identified by officials as 25-year-old Emmanuel Steve Sanchez, was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota remained on scene and showed signs of impairment. A DUI investigation was conducted and the driver was taken into custody for suspected impairment.
