LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A crash in east Las Vegas has shut down a roadway Friday morning.
Nellis Boulevard is shut down in both directions from Charleston Boulevard to Winterwood Boulevard.
Just before 5 a.m., a dark-colored sedan was heading south on Nellis when the driver lost control, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The vehicle went across all travel lanes and hit a fence, then a retaining wall, police said.
The driver ran away from the scene, according to authorities, and impairment is suspected.
The passenger in the vehicle sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
