LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Businesses want to make sure anyone who might have come in contact with coronavirus checks their germs at the door. 13 Action News anchor Tricia Kean introduces a Henderson company that says it has a doorway disinfectant.

WALK-THROUGH STATION

"It's a dry mist. So it's non-harmful, non-toxic. If you have a purse, eyeglasses, anything on your clothing, it's all completely safe," says Brandon Main, CEO of Xtreme Cubes Corporation.

This is the Xtreme Opti-Clean Cube. This walk-through station sprays a solution developers say disinfects all hard and soft surfaces.

EPA-FDA APPROVED DISINFECTANT

"It kills all known viruses and bacteria including COVID-19," says Main.

The cube is the brain child of the Henderson-based Xtreme Cubes Corporation. The company designed and builds these things right here in the valley. Each one is loaded with Proguardeum solution, an EPA and FDA approved disinfectant.

IT'S NATURAL

"It's based off of what we call our white blood cells. A white blood cell is made to kill bacteria and viruses. That's why this is so unbelievable. It's natural," says Dr. Lane Rolling, specializing in infectious diseases and trauma surgery.

He says what makes this cube so effective is how it covers every part of you.

DISINFECTED HEAD TO TOE

"So you go through this thing, you're getting the mist on the bottom of your shoes, top of your head. So you're going to be sterile, what we call disinfected from COVID-19 from the top of your head to the bottom," says Dr. Rolling.

The cube is designed to be portable, so it can be moved around if needed. In fact the first valley buyer plans to have its employees walking through the cubes at a couple different job sites beginning next month.

"Our first customer I will tell you is SR Construction. We will be placing the first couple units, one at Centennial Hills addition and one here at the Henderson addition, going on at the Henderson Hospital," says Main.

SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR THE CUBE

The ultimate goal is to have the cubes permanently installed at the entrance and exits of public and private buildings; from casinos and retail shops to hospitals and stadiums. Xtreme Cubes Corporation says there is a sustainable future for their cubes.

"What comes after this I don't know. But there will be studies done. Whenever we do see something new we'll engage our medical professionals to get involved, dig deep and make sure the solution kills whatever new viruses come about," says Main.
