LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A Las Vegas family is saying goodbye with their community to a loved one who died from COVID-19, despite not being able to gather in large crowds.
A drive-by funeral took place on Sunday for Judy Lorenzen.
Her family says she was in a nursing home in Summerlin when she was diagnosed with the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
Lorenzen's family says they did not expect to have a funeral due to the strict social distancing rules caused by the pandemic, but thanks to Cornerstone Christian Church, their church offered a memorial in the form of a drive-by funeral.
Lorenzen is described as a well loved member of the church.
