Hope for the City presents 'A Night of Hope' for Las Vegas on May 9

Hope for the City will present “A Night of Hope” at 7 p.m. May 9 to show the solidarity of Las Vegas coming together to be Vegas Strong!

WHAT IS IT?
"A Night of Hope," which will be shown on ABC 13, will feature feature artists, athletes, celebrities, and public figures who reside in (or just love) Las Vegas coming together to highlight the tremendous food needs in our city right now, and to applaud those fighting on the front lines for our community.

“A Night of Hope” will be co-hosted by Chris Harrison, host of “The Bachelor” franchise (ABC) and syndicated game show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” and Emmy Award-winning television personality and New York Times best-selling author, Giuliana Rancic. The special will feature musical performances, special appearances and moments by celebrities, public figures and local entertainers, including OneRepublic, Kane Brown, Lee Brice, Lil Jon, Marie Osmond, Jon Gruden, Las Vegas Raiders, Vegas Golden Knights, Carrot Top, Tedy Bruschi, Spencer Tillman, Jason Giambi, Brian 'Head' Welch, Montell Jordan, and many more to be announced. The special will highlight and applaud frontline workers and those negatively impacted with real stories of struggles and triumphs as they soldier through an unprecedented time in the world.

WHO
Hope for the City is made up of a group of Las Vegas-based residents, businesses and nonprofits who have partnered to meet the needs of people during challenging times.

WHY
The purpose of A Night of Hope is to raise awareness of the need for food in Las Vegas and raise money to provide that food.

So far, Hope for the City has supplied food to 231,919 individuals in 50,796 household. It has given away 2,643,193 million pounds of food and created more than 100 pop-up government-approved food pantries.

Additionally, Hope for the City is providing food assistance to medical personnel, first responders, and more than 1,500 elderly and immunocompromised individuals who can’t leave their homes during the coronavirus pandemic to obtain food and needed supplies.

Any donation made to Hope for the City is tax-deductible and will help many.

All funds donated during the broadcast in partnership with KSNV (NBC), KVVU (FOX), KTNV (ABC), KLAS (CBS), Las Vegas Review-Journal, Greenspun Media (Las Vegas Weekly), Kre8 Media, Clear Channel Outdoor, Las Vegas Billboards, Beasley Media Group (102.7 KCYE-FM Coyote Country) , iHeart Media and Lotus Broadcasting will go to Hope For The City, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation.
