Vegas health program donates PPE's to frontline workers

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A local program said it has donated personal protective equipment to Las Vegas groups in need of the supplies during the ongoing pandemic.

Future Smiles, a school-based preventive and restorative dental health program in Southern Nevada, donated a trove of personal protective equipment that included medical facemasks, gowns, and gloves to groups helping the public cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

A representative for the program said the items were 600 masks, 3,300 pairs of gloves and 50 gowns given to the University Medical Center and volunteers. The donations were also sent to community partners such as Three Square and Communities in Schools.

Additional items on the list included containers of disinfectant wipes and boxes of hand sanitizer, with toothbrush and toothpaste Smile Kits for grocery giveaways.
