UNLV virtual discussion series on racism begins Sept. 17

University Libraries and the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs will host a virtual panel discussion series titled "We Need to Talk: Conversations on Racism for a More Resilient Las Vegas.”

The goal of the educational series is to examine how multiple aspects of systemic racism impact our community and propose steps communities and individuals can take to affect positive change.

The series is split up into seven discussions and will feature Southern Nevada community members, UNLV alumni, and researchers surrounding issues of race and systemic racism.

The first panel will be livestreamed on Sept. 17 at 5:30 p.m.

The next panels will be held on the following dates and more information will be provided soon:

- Oct. 1
- Oct. 14
- Oct. 24
- Nov. 12
- Nov. 19
- Dec. 3

Each panel discussion will be livestreamed by UNLV TV.
