Treasure Island employees donated 300 backpacks, stuffed with school supplies, to the Ruffin Family Clinic on August 24. The supplies benefitted low-income children, served by Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada.

"The Backpack Project is much more than a backpack filled with school supplies," said Dr. Florence Jameson, founder of Volunteers in Medicine. She hopes the project will inspire students to become anything they desire.

The Ruffin Family Clinic offers free medical care, basic diagnostic testing, medications, mental health and social services, vision and dental for uninsured, low-income individuals and their families.
