Touro University Nevada, home to Nevada’s largest medical school and only school of osteopathic medicine, is celebrating a 99.2% placement rate for its Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2020.

Of the graduating population, 30% will remain in-state and begin a residency in Nevada.

Dr. Gilliar expressed significant pride in the nearly 40 students who will complete their residencies in the Silver State and meet local and growing demand for healthcare providers.

Touro University Nevada’s Class of 2020 is made up of 131 students entering a diverse range of program specialties, including anesthesiology, neurology, emergency medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, and others.

In March, Touro College and University System announced a system-wide cancellation of all Match Day celebrations due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
