The Toy Box at Downtown Summerlin has two of the hottest toy of the year and they have announced that they will auction them off for charity.

Hatchimals are the fantastically popular toy from Spinmaster. They are virtually sold out across the country, and shoppers have been paying as much as $250 on eBay to get their hands on one.

If you aren't familiar with the toy, Hatchimals are interactive bird-like creatures that magically hatch from eggs. While in the egg, the creature communicates with sounds and taps, and its eyes light up in different colors to express its mood. With nurturing, the creature pecks its way out of the egg, and then goes through several life stages as it learns by communicating with its owner, who can teach it to walk, sing, dance and more.

The Toy Box has two Hatchimals "Pengualas Pink Egg" in stock. Bids will be accepted in person at The Toy Box during regular business hours from Dec. 5 to Dec. 13. Bidding will start at $89.99. The highest bidder for each item at the close of business on Dec. 13 will determine the winner. The winners will be contacted to purchase the items. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours, the next highest bidder will be contacted, and so forth.

Proceeds above regular price will benefit the Las Vegas chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.

Bidders will also receive a coupon for 15 percent off one item while supplies last (limit of one coupon per person).

The Toy Box is also celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas with a special sale from Dec. 13 through Dec. 24 followed by the 8 Days of Hanukkah sale.
