LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Plaza will celebrate its 50th anniversary with exclusive promotions and special events throughout 2021.
The hotel officially opened on July 2, 1971, in downtown Las Vegas as the largest hotel and casino in the world. It has enjoyed a storied history over the last five decades as an iconic destination that continues to evolve, elevate downtown culture, and enhance the guest experience.
Hotel guests can book a memorable getaway with the Plaza’s 50 Years of Fun hotel package, which offers a stay in a traditional guest room or the Plaza’s upgraded Luxe rooms and suites as well as: $50 food and beverage credit (per stay), $75 bingo match play per day, up to $50 in free slot play ($10 per day up to 5 days), a 50 Years of Plaza memorabilia gift, late check out / early check-in (pending availability), and free parking.
The package requires a minimum two-night stay and is valid for up to 5-nights.
The Plaza will giveaway $50,000 in cash prizes to 50 winners, including a grand prize of $20,000. Players can earn entries to win via slot play, and winners will be selected during a live drawing on the casino floor at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20. New Players Club members can also earn up to $50 in free slot play.
They will also use special commemorative anniversary casino chips on all table games in 2021, and it will offer guests limited edition t-shirts, pins, and keychains as mementos of the anniversary.
Couples who are celebrating 10 years of marriage or more in 2021 can enter to win a special wedding anniversary vow renewal celebration at the Plaza. The prize includes a full reception in the Plaza’s Sierra ballroom or an intimate dinner at Oscar’s steakhouse as well as a complimentary two-night hotel stay, wedding cake, champagne toast, bouquet, and boutonniere.
The Plaza will also offer for purchase at any property bar a 20 oz. 50th Anniversary Souvenir Disco Cup for a double cocktail (well or call drinks) for $10 or refills for $8.
Finally, the Plaza plans to celebrate with yet-to-be announced special events in 2021, including during the July 4th holiday / anniversary weekend.
