A safe haven for the LGBTQ community in Las Vegas is in the process of expanding to Henderson.
The Center is looking for volunteers -- painters, electricians, artists, among others -- to help prepare the building, which will be called The Center at Whitney Mesa.
It is 3,000-square-foot warehouse that has a lobby that will be finished to hold a clothing thrift store, a small food pantry, a lobby and two gender neutral bathrooms.
The Center has a call out for artists to make the new building stand out.
