RECAP: Steve Harvey's 14th annual Neighborhood Awards in Las Vegas

The stars were sizzling over the weekend at the 14th annual Neighborhood Awards events hosted by Steve Harvey at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas.

 

On July 22, Keith Sweat, Charlie Wilson and Dog E. Fresh dazzled the crowds at the Freedom Friday concert.

 

On July 23, Steve Harvey who is also the co-creator of the event, ushered in a 14th anniversary star-filled celebration in honor of the nation’s neighborhood leaders, educators, churches and businesses (comprising 49 finalists nominated in 12 Awards categories), at the sold-out 2016 State Farm Neighborhood Awards (formerly the Hoodie Awards).

 

The awards show featured multiple GRAMMY-winning hitmakers Maxwell, Erykah Badu, and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers The O’Jays, who all delivered electric live performances.

 

Sheryl Underwood, Toni Braxton and Yolanda Adams were among the presenters.

 

Jill Scott closed the weekend out on July 24 with a sold-out performance at Mandalay Bay Beach.

 

The 2016 State Farm Neighborhood Awards Weekend included support by State Farm, Tracfone,  Masterbuilt, Cracker Barrel, McDonald’s, Crème of Nature, DHerbs, and Wells Fargo.
