BOULDER CITY (KTNV) — A nonprofit organization is hoping to raise money to buy bulletproof vets for K-9 officers in Boulder City.

Right now vests are not in the budget for K-9s in most agencies. Most departments receive vests through community donors.

Each vest costs around $2,600.
