Lyft riders around Las Vegas could get Girl Scout cookies after their ride is complete.
On Monday, members of the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada's "CEO in Training" program presented a cookie sales pitch to local Lyft executives at the Lyft Las Vegas Hub. The Lyft team purchased $10,000 worth of cookies and have announced a partnership with the Girl Scouts to raise funds for the CEO in Training program "one cookie at a time."
Now through March 11, Lyft will share the cookies with the local community with random riders receiving with a complimentary box of Girl Scout cookies to enjoy.
Additionally, Lyft will donate $1 per ride to the CEO in Training program every time a rider enters the code "GISMO" in their app. Entering this code will also turn car icons into Girl Scout cookies in the app.
Open to Girl Scouts in eighth through twelfth grade, the CEO in Training program prepares girls for real-world business and entrepreneurship opportunities through monthly meetings with local female executives. The program helps Girl Scouts of all ages learn important life skills, such as goal setting, money management, and business ethics.
