LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Local seventeen-year-old Madelyn was diagnosed with cancer in August 2019. Since then, this athletically active teen has been sidelined, recovering from numerous biopsies and four rounds of chemotherapy to treat her critical illness.

When asked about her one true wish, Madelyn knew she wanted a shopping spree to prepare for her upcoming year as a college freshman.

On her wish list, Madelyn imagines an Apple MacBook, new clothes and all the essentials needed to decorate her dorm room and launch this next chapter of her life.

In light of COVID-19, Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada’s staff and volunteers have fulfilled Madelyn’s shopping spree list through generous donations from the Las Vegas community including a matching gift from Adam S. Kutner & Associates.

Following a dramatic Metro Police escort arrival, Madelyn receiveD her wish list items during a specially arranged shopping spree outside of the Make-A-Wish® Southern Nevada Wishing Place.
