LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A local educator is being celebrated for her hard work.
Ms. Olimpia Paredes, a 6th-grade teacher at the North Valley campus, is being recognized as the "Teacher of the Year" for Legacy Traditional Schools.
She was surprised today with the honor after being nominated by colleagues.
It's her second year at the school and she has made a tremendous impact on student growth of English language learners and students attending before and after school community education programs.
