Golden Knights star Shay Theodore is jumpstarting an effort to stop cancer in Southern Nevada.
He created "Kay's Power Play" to honor his grandmother Kay who passed away from breast cancer.
Kay's Power Play will raise money for early detection.
Theodore battled cancer himself before the start of the last season.
Yesterday he donated $50k to Susan G. Komen of Nevada.
The money will help local women get mammograms at no cost.
