Representative Dina Titus, D-Nevada, announced $432,264 in grants to fight veteran homelessness in Nevada.

The funds come from a partnership between the Department of Housing and Urban Development and Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

In Las Vegas, the program will provide the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority and the VA’s Southern Nevada Health Care System with $301,440 to offer 40 rental assistance vouchers and access to medical services for those who qualify.

In Northern Nevada, the program will provide the City of Reno Housing Authority and the Sierra Nevada Health Care System with $130,824 to offer 23 vouchers and medical services to those who qualify.

The departments will provide $38 million to help serve more than 5,200 homeless veterans nationwide.
