St. Patrick's Day 2017 events, specials in Las Vegas valley

Everyone's said to have a little bit of Irish in them on St. Patrick's Day and there are plenty of places to celebrate around the Las Vegas valley on March 17, as well as throughout the month.

Check out the list of events, specials, food, drinks and more:

Beerhaus -- throughout March
This March, Beerhaus will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the following food and beverage specials: St. Paddy’s Stout – a collaboration beer created exclusively for Beerhaus by Tenaya Creek Brewery with a smooth mouth feel and a subtle aroma of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, priced at $8 per pint. There is also a Corned Beef Dog – served with mustard and cabbage, priced at $8.

Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas -- March 17
BEER PARK at Paris Las Vegas' celebration is complete with green beer, a DJ and a twist on traditional Irish fare all day. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Beer Park will serve pitchers of green beer and the corned beef sandwich served on warm French bread, the sandwich is piled high with thick slices of corned beef and topped with fries, coleslaw and spicy mustard and is priced at $9.95. Beer Park will have a live DJ from 9 p.m. until close.

Cabo Wabo Cantina -- March 17
Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, will host a patio party with an array of food and drink specials in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Selections will include green beer, shot specials and beer tubs filled with select import and domestic brews available on the Strip-side patio. Guests can also enjoy Cabo’s signature margaritas with a green makeover, crafted with Cabo Wabo tequila and Grand Marnier and served on the rocks, starting at $10.

Café Americano at Caesars Palace -- March 17
Cafe Americano is serving up the Lady Luck for $8. This green cocktail is made with Midori, ginger ale and fresh lime juice.

Carson Kitchen -- March 17
Carson Kitchen in Downtown Las Vegas will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a special food and drink offering for guests to enjoy. Chef John Courtney will serve up a Corned Beef and Cabbage Sandwich with Guinness mustard for $15. In addition, guests can enjoy a Boiler Marker of Irish Whisky for $5 with purchase of any beer at regular price. These specials are valid on March 17 only.

CRUSH at MGM Grand -- March 17
CRUSH’s third annual St. Patrick’s Day bash at MGM Grand is hosted by bartender and self-proclaimed ‘funologist’ John O’Donnell. Beginning at 5 p.m., O’Donnell will serve up plenty of beer and Irish whiskey while bringing people together for toasts and good spirits. Plus, Executive Chef William DeMarco will serve traditional Irish pub grub, including Corned Beef, Cabbage, Soda Bread, priced at $24; and a Brown Ale Irish Lamb Stew served with fingerling potatoes and baby carrots, priced at $19. From 5-7 p.m., guests may enjoy $10 pizzas, $6 draft beers and $5 wines by-the-glass, served exclusively in the bar area. CRUSH also will bring the sounds of Ireland to the celebration with traditional Irish tunes throughout the evening. El Cortez hotel-casino -- throughout March
All throughout March at the El Cortez Hotel and Casino, guests can enjoy $5 Guinness and $5 shots of Jameson at all casino bars.

Fremont Street Experience -- March 17
Fremont Street Experience invites the public to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Las Vegas with multiple Irish rock bands performing on all three stages, strolling costumed entertainers and the Las Vegas Firefighters Benefit Association Annual St. Patrick’s Day March taking place March 17 at noon. The free entertainment will feature traditional and modern Irish bands including: The Angry Brians, Darby O’Gill and the Little People, Bogtrotters Union, Luck of the Spandex, Finnegan’s Wake, The Johnny McCuaig Band, Celtic Rockers and LA Vation (U2 tribute band).

Grand Bazaar Shops bar crawl -- March 17
The bar crawl will offer drink specials and T-shirts for those with tickets. Participating bars include Redneck Riviera, Wahlburgers, Giordano's, Sin City Brewing Co., Born and Raised (BAR), Fuel Bar and Island Time Floats Tiki Bar. Guests with tickets to the Green Party will receive $4 green beers and $6 Irish car bombs in addition to $4 pints of green beer and $5 Jameson shots from Sin City Brewing Co. Check in for the bar crawl begins at 10 a.m. March 17 at Redneck Riviera. The bar crawl will last until 4 a.m. March 18. Tickets are $20 or $50 for VIP tickets. Hash House A Go Go -- March 17

Henderson St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival -- March 10-12
On March 10, the carnival and festival will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. with entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m. On March 11, the parade will be held at 10 a.m. with the carnival and festival from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., car show noon to 5 p.m. and entertainment from noon to 9 p.m. On March 12, there will be entertainment from noon to 6 p.m., festival from noon to 7 p.m. and carnival from noon to 9 p.m. It will all be held at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St. Admission is free; however, some activities may require paid admission. The celebration, now in its 51st year, features one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in the region. The parade will include more than 100 entries, floats and marching groups decorated for the Irish holiday. Proceeds benefit local charities, including St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which is dedicated to funding childhood cancer research.

HEXX at Paris Las Vegas -- March 17
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, HEXX Kitchen + Bar and HEXX Chocolate + Confexxions at Paris Las Vegas will bring Irish spirit to the Las Vegas Strip with a themed menu and boozy green milkshake served all day on Friday, March 17. Created by Executive Chef Matthew Piekarski, HEXX Kitchen + Bar will offer corned beef and cabbage rolls with a side of grainy mustard sauce, accompanied by mashed potatoes and carrot chips, priced at $19.95. HEXX Chocolate + Confexxions will serve a minty, alcohol-infused milkshake, the Grasshopper Elixxr, featuring artisanal mint chocolate chip High Road Ice Cream, Crème de Menthe and crème de cocoa. The boozy shake will be available in the café, directly adjacent to HEXX Kitchen + Bar, and will be priced at $14.95.

Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas -- March 17
At Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas, guests can enjoy a special menu, live entertainment and plenty of beer this St. Patrick’s Day. Guests can choose from the restaurant’s three standard beers, Hofbräu Original, Hefe Weizen and Dunkel as well as their limited time seasonal brew, Dark Wheat. The special holiday menu puts a German twist on everyone’s favorite Irish dishes, and includes Creamy Leak Soup – Garnished with croutons and chives; Fried Brie Cheese – Breaded brie cheese fried golden brown, served with a spring salad bouquet and garnished with parsley and cranberries; Traditional Corned Beef & Cabbage – Tender corned beef brisket served with steamed cabbage, carrots and mashed potatoes; and Bread and Butter Pudding – Served with vanilla ice cream, whiskey sauce and whipped cream.

Holsteins Shakes and Buns -- March 15-20
At The Cosmopolitan, Holsteins Shakes and Buns, Corporate Pastry Chef Rebecca Bills has created the “Irish Sugar Bomb” Bam-Boozled shake. The festive specialty is made with vanilla ice cream, Bailey’s, Lucky Charms cereal, rainbow sprinkles, shamrock sprinkles, rainbow twist pop, gold nuggets and gold coins and rainbow sour tape. Priced at $15, the shake will be available for March 15 through March 20.

House of Blues Las Vegas -- March 17-19
House of Blues Las Vegas will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day March 17-19 with delicious specials including Irish Onion Soup (Caramelized Onions, Beer Broth, Irish Cheddar Crouton) for $7, Irish Nachos (Spicy Stout Braised Sausage, Pickled Cabbage, Sautéed Onions, Swiss Cheese Sauce, Jalapenos, Remoulade) for $12, and Bangers and Mash (Stout Braised Banger, Yukon Gold Mash, Onion and Whiskey Gravy, Crispy Onions and Peas) for $15.

The Juice Standard -- March 17

Life Time Athletic Shamrock Shuffle -- March 16
Before going for a green beer this St. Patrick’s Day, throw on your luckiest green workout gear and show off your dance moves for a special “Shamrock Shuffle” dance jam class on Thursday, March 16 at Life Time Athletic Green Valley, located at located at 121 Carnegie Street in Henderson. The festive class will be held in Studio 1 beginning at 6 p.m. The event is complimentary for members, while nonmembers may attend with a $30 guest pass. RSVPs are recommended and can be made by contacting the Activity Center.

LVFBA St. Patrick's day Celebration and Firefighter Challenge -- March 17
The Las Vegas Firefighters Benefit Association (LVFBA) and retired firefighter Mike Tomko will hold the 12th annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration & Firefighter Challenge in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. Don your greenest garb and join the LVFBA for Irish pints, bagpipes and amusement located among the raucous camaraderie of Hogs and Heifers, with traditional Irish fare provided by the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino.
On March 17, uniformed firefighters from across the country will join the Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Local 1285 Honor Guard and Pipes & Drums alongside other Las Vegas Valley Pipes and Drums Corps as they lead the masses in a St. Patrick’s Day procession commencing at Fremont Street’s Main Street Stage at noon and journeying down Fremont Street to 3rd Street. Guests can enjoy Irish-themed food including corned beef sandwiches, cabbage and potatoes. Following the parade, guests in green are invited to watch or join in the St. Patrick’s Day Firefighter Games. The Irish-themed Clash of the Titans invites teams of four to test their wits, wills, and brawn in firefighting-themed competitions. Events will include the Wheelbarrow Race, 5-inch Hose Drag, Hose Bowling, Bucket Brigade, and good ol’ fashioned Tug of War. The games are open to the public; sign-up will be outside of Hogs and Heifers between 10 and 11 am; games will begin an hour after the conclusion of the parade.

New York-New York events -- March 17-18
Guests can revel in St. Patrick’s Day festivities with food, drinks and live entertainment at Nine Fine Irishmen and Brooklyn Bridge at New York-New York. Authentic Irish fare such as Corned Beef Sandwiches, Shepherd’s Pie and Irish Bangers as well as drink specials including specialty cocktails, shots and beers will start at $7. O'Sheas BLOQ Party -- March 17
The O’Sheas BLOQ Party celebration begins at noon with a parade along The LINQ Promenade, complete with bagpipers, leprechauns, stilt walkers and other festive characters. The BLOQ Party will continue along The LINQ Promenade until 10 p.m., featuring giveaways, games of corn hole and various surprise pop-up performers and dancers. Beer trucks and portable bars will ensure revelers enjoy a continuous supply of foamy brews. The Palm Restaurant inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace will serve authentic corned beef and cabbage for $22 (lunch) and $29 (dinner) on St. Patrick's Day.

Pancho's Mexican Restaurant -- March 17
Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant, located in Downtown Summerlin, will be going green for St. Patrick’s Day with a Chile Verde plate and a green margarita, “Luck of the Pancho,” offered all day. The Chili Verde plate features thick chunks of pork cooked in a green chile sauce. Served with green rice, beans and hot tortillas, the dish is priced at $14.95 for lunch and $19.95 for dinner. Exclusively for St. Patrick’s Day, Pancho’s will offer the “Luck of the Pancho” margarita. A festive twist on Pancho’s traditional house margarita, Luck of the Pancho is made with Sauza Blue Reposado tequila, triple sec, housemade margarita mix and kiwi puree, garnished with a green sugar rim and lime, priced at $10.25. PBR Rock Bar -- March 17
The Luck of the Irish will be bestowed upon all who enter PBR Rock Bar on St. Patrick’s Day! Lucky patrons can get in on the green beer action all day long with $5 specials.

PKWY Tavern -- March 17
All PKWY Taverns host the biggest block party of the year starting at 5 p.m.  Enjoy live music, games, food trucks, drinks specials from Jameson and Pabst Blue Ribbon and of course plenty of green beer.

Plaza hotel-casino -- March 17
A free St. Patrick’s Day party will overtake the dome entrance of the Plaza Hotel & Casino starting at 7 p.m. and culminating at 10 p.m. with a live green fireworks show shot from multiple locations on the property. The Plaza invites the public to join in the fun taking place throughout the evening under the Plaza’s dome, where guests will enjoy free entertainment, including music by DJ Jacob Savage and live performances by local bands Glass Pools at 8 p.m. followed by Indigo Kidd. St. Patrick’s Day-inspired drink specials will be served under the dome. Guests will receive match play vouchers and discounts for cocktails at the Plaza’s Omaha or Race & Sports Book bars on the casino floor. The Scintas will also celebrate the holiday during their 7:30 p.m. show in the Plaza’s showroom. After their show ends, Frankie Scinta will lead guests with the Plaza’s leprechauns in a conga line from the showroom through the casino floor to the festivities taking place under the dome. Just after 10 p.m., the party will culminate with a 3-minute live fireworks show, lighting the sky up with green pyrotechnics.

Remedy’s, Elixir and Distill -- March 17
All six locations will have a costume contest with $100 prize and food and drink specials including corned beef & cabbage for $11.99, 16 oz. Guinness drafts for $4, Jameson shots for $4 and Irish Car Bombs for $5.

Rí Rá Las Vegas -- March 14-19
On March 17, Rí Rá will feature live music, giveaways, Irish dancers, an Irish bagpiper and a specialty menu of Ireland’s most popular dishes. Kicking off the festivities at noon will be The Crooked Jacks, followed by The Black Donnellys and Craic Haus. Additionally, the special menu of traditional Irish dishes includes Corned Beef & Cabbage, Publicans Reuben, Fish and Chips, Shepherd’s Pie and Beef and Guinness Stew. Additional nightly entertainment schedule includes: March 14-15 beginning at 8:45 p.m. – The Crooked Jacks; March 16 beginning at 5 p.m. – The Crooked Jacks and The Black Donnellys; March 18 beginning at 2 p.m. – The Crooked Jacks, The Black Donnellys and Craic Haus and March 19 at 8:45 p.m. – The Black Donnellys.

Sean Patrick's -- March 17
In addition to traditional Irish food associated with St. Patrick’s Day – including Corned Beef & Cabbage, Shepherd’s Pie, Fish & Chips, and Guinness Bratwurst – Sean Patrick’s beer taps will flow with Guinness, PT’s Brewing Company Sean Patrick’s Red, PT’s Brewing Company Boulder Stout, and Bud Light green beer. The pubs will also feature shots of Jameson Irish Whiskey. For members of PTEG’s Golden Rewards program, $20 match play is available during St. Patrick’s Day. Guests can also receive a free St. Patrick’s Day-themed T-shirts while supplies last.

South Point hotel-casino -- March 17
Coronado Cafe
Coronado Café's St. Patrick's Day Specialty Menu is only available on Friday, March 17. From 7 a.m.–10 p.m., the Coronado Café will serve Guinness Marinated Sirloin Steak ($6.95) with two eggs, Boxty Potato Cakes and Irish soda bread; O'Flaherty's Split Pea Soup or House Salad  ($8.95) and Corned Beef & Cabbage ($8.95) with boiled potatoes and carrots. Guests can also sip on classic Irish favorites such as a bottle of Guinness ($3) and Bailey's Irish Cream & Coffee ($2).

Garden Buffet
Breakfast Buffet: The South Point Garden Buffet offers a delicious, full Irish Breakfast Buffet for guests with an Irish Breakfast Station for $8.95 with a Casino Club Card and $10.95 without a Casino Club Card. In addition to unlimited Bloody Marys, guests can choose from a variety of a la carte dishes such as broiled tomatoes, Colcannon,  Irish Bangers, scrambled eggs with chives and sliced Irish soda bread. Guests can dine from the Irish Breakfast station from 7–10 a.m. in addition to the regular buffet menu. Lunch Buffet: Find classic Irish offerings during the Garden Buffet's special St. Patrick's Day Lunch Buffet for $9.95 with a Casino Club Card and $13.95 without a Casino Club Card. Guests can choose from dishes with an Irish twist such as Emerald Green Chopped Salad Bowl, Paddy's Irish Lamb Stew, Pot O'Gold Chicken, Salmon O'Leary and finish with desserts such as Bread Pudding with Bushmill's Whiskey Sauce and a slice of Mint Cream Pie. The St. Patrick's Day Lunch Buffet menu offerings are available from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Seafood Dinner Buffet: Finish out the luckiest day of the year with the Garden Buffet's St. Patrick's Day Seafood Buffet for $25.95 with a Casino Club Card and $29.95 without a Casino Club Card. In addition to a complimentary glass of wine, guests can choose between Chilled Crab Legs, Dublin Bay Seafood Stew, House Smoked Salmon, Oysters Rockefeller, Oyster on the Half Shell and Thai Seafood Curry. The St. Patrick's Day Seafood Buffet is available from 4–10 p.m.

Station Casinos -- March 17
Station Casinos will offer holiday menus to celebrate. Available for lunch or dinner on March 17, The Feast buffets and Festival buffets at Station Casinos’ properties and the Bistro Buffet at the Palms are offering a special St. Patrick’s Day menu. The Irish offerings are available in addition to the regular menu at Red Rock Resort, Santa Fe Station, Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station, Boulder Station, Fiesta Henderson, Sunset Station, Green Valley Ranch Resort, Palace Station and Palms Casino Resort. Enjoy Irish specialties at the buffets including Corned beef and cabbage, Lamb stew, Mustard champs, Bangers and mash, Colcannon soup and Whiskey bread pudding. In addition, the Grand Cafes and Café Fiesta at Fiesta Henderson will have a special menu from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on March 17. The St. Patrick’s Day menu is corned beef and cabbage made with a slow-cooked corned beef brisket, steamed cabbage, potatoes and carrots. Cost is $9.99 at Palace, Boulder, Texas, Sunset, Santa Fe and Fiesta Henderson. Cost is $11.99 at Red Rock Resort and Green Valley Ranch Resort. Therapy restaurant -- throughout March
Downtown Las Vegas’ Therapy restaurant will have St. Patrick’s Day drink specials served throughout the month of March. Located in the Fremont East Entertainment District, Therapy will offer the Shamrocked cocktail, made with Midori liqueur, Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey and Irish crème, topped with homemade whipped cream and garnished with fresh mint. The festive green cocktail will be priced at $10. To keep spirits high, Therapy will also offer a Wasatch Apricot beer paired with a shot of Dubliner Irish Whiskey, priced at $7. Revelers are also invited to stop by Therapy during its newly-introduced updated happy hour, offering $4 specials on house red and white wines and $5 drink specials on local beer and well cocktails, served daily from 2 to 5 p.m.

Tom’s Urban at New York-New York -- throughout March
Tom’s Urban at New York-New York will celebrate the month of March with its “Tom’s March Foolery” affair. From the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament to St. Patrick’s Day, Tom’s Urban has guests covered with the all-new Absolute Alley-Oop Mule (Absolut lime vodka and house-made ginger brew) and PB&J (Pabst Blue Ribbon and Jameson Irish Whiskey shot), available all month long. In addition, Tom’s Urban is allowing guests to go big with the all-new two-handled 40-ounce beer mug - Tom’s Big @$$ 40. The restaurant will donate $1 for every 40-ounce beer sold during the month of March to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to fight childhood cancer.

Trevi Italian Restaurant at The Forum Shops -- March 17
TREVI Italian Restaurant, located in The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a green-themed fettuccine dish. Executive Chef Jose Navarro will prepare fettuccine al pesto con gamberi, made with fresh fettuccine tossed with sautéed shrimp, sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts and basil in a savory green pesto cream sauce, priced at $28. Guests can also enjoy happy hour selections from 2 to 6 p.m. including $4 frozen bellinis, $5 bottled beer and $7 cocktails. An Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom: St. Patrick’s Day Food & Beer Tasting. Bellagio Executive Chef of Banquets and Catering Michael Burns will kick off this year’s An Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom event with a St. Patrick’s Day themed class. Guests will learn to make warm Smoked Salmon with cauliflower cream and caviar, Chicken Pot Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding, each paired with a festive brew. Wolfgang Puck restaurants -- March 17
In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Spago Las Vegas at The Forum Shops at Caesars, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at MGM Grand, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin will present Corned Beef and Cabbage meal for the day. The traditional Irish dish at all three locations will be comprised of sliced corned beef, piled high on top of braised cabbage, and accompanied with a warm new potato salad a whole grain mustard sauce.
