The popular pizza restaurant, Naked City Pizza, has announced that it will be taking over the Pizza Lotto space inside El Cortez in Downtown Las Vegas.

Owner Christopher Palmeri announced the new location on Facebook. Palmeri says that it is the realization of two dreams -- moving back to the downtown area and opening a location inside of a casino.

Palmeri moved from Buffalo, New York, to Las Vegas in  2003. He went to work as a sous chef at a Mexican restaurant inside the MGM Grand.

In 2009, he opened a hot dog cart outside Dino's on Las Vegas Boulevard South. Next, he opened Naked City Pizza inside Moon Doggie's on Arville Street.

An appearance on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives" resulted in massive exposure for his pizza. Since then, he has opened two other locations and has served pizza at numerous large events in the city and at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
