Paramedic students at CSN are getting the chance to use equipment that isn't available to paramedics already in the field.
Thanks to a $300,000 grant from the Governor's Office, the college was able to purchase portable ultrasound equipment.
The portable ultrasounds allows paramedics to see any internal injuries a patient may have and alert the hospital before the ambulance arrives.
The training will take about 8 to 12 months. Right now, 33 students are enrolled in the program.
