LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A new education and training center will help people get access to training and jobs.
The College of Southern Nevada is partnering with the City of Las Vegas to build the new center on the Historic Westside.
It will be a 10,000-square-foot facility near Washington Avenue and D Street.

Officials say the area has a traditionally high unemployment rate.
The facility will help unemployed and under-employed residents with training and job placement.
It's all thanks to a $6.9 million grant from the CARES Act.
Crews are expected to break ground later this year.
