Hundreds of volunteers from Appreciation Financial gave James Cashman Middle School a much-needed makeover on Feb. 26.
The 50-year-old school received a brand new outdoor learning space, a remodeled teacher lounge. an upgraded cafeteria, and lots of fresh paint.
Cashman is a Title 1 school with over 80 percent of its 1,600 students living below the poverty line. Despite their challenges, the school retains high test scores from its students.
