LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Several miles of bike trails are now open at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs.
The City of Las Vegas says the trails are for all skill levels.
There's also a paved pump track for BMX bikes.
The trails officially opened today.
Residents near Floyd Lamb State Park protested during the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the park saying proposed upgrades to a historic hay barn were illegal based on a deal with the state when the park was transferred to the city.
Counter-protesters on horseback showed up to support the upgrades being made at the park.
Mayor Pro Tem Michele Fiore says the upgrades are legal and welcomed the protesters to sit down with her at her office to go over the facts,
