LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A 68-year-old woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a U-Haul box truck in the central valley Sunday morning, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said the woman "was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk but within an implied crosswalk northbound across East Twain Avenue approaching Royal Crest Street" around 11:13 a.m.
The U-Haul was traveling westbound on Twain Avenue and struck the woman. According to police, the driver of the U-Haul, a 73-year-old woman, remained at the scene, did not show any signs of impairment and cooperated with the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
