LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Nneke McClain has been in the beauty industry for years but this was the first time she experienced a global pandemic.
"It's been hard, I was out of work for months," McClain said.
McClain's beauty studio is inside Phenix Salon Suites on Buffalo near Flamingo in the Valley.
During the shutdown she said the owner of salon suites helped her by cutting costs.
"Phenix Salon Suites helped us a lot we did not have to worry about paying rent. When it was time to come back they rolled out new safety protocol," McClain said.
Now that the valley has reopened, McClain is back to doing what she loves and practicing safety first.
"Myself and all clients are required to wear masks and I will give contact less temperature checks on arrival," McClain said.
