LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Trina Jiles is the owner of Gritz Cafe, a west-side soul food restaurant serving breakfast and lunch.

Jiles is also a former firefighter and arson investigator for the Clark County Fire Department.

"I was the first black female firefighter for Clark County," Jiles said.

In 2017, she retired as an arson investigator to run Gritz Cafe full time.

Like so many others COVID-19 has caused small businesses to tank.

"Our revenue decreased less than 50% and normally we are open 7 days a week, but now we are only open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday," Jiles said.

While the months to come will be difficult Jiles said she is staying true to those in blue by giving back.
