A Kansas man is suspected of killing his 7-year-old son and feeding his body to pigs.
Michael A. Jones, 44, was arrested last week after police went to his home near Kansas City to investigate a report that he had attacked his wife and fire a gun at her. During the investigation, someone told police that they should look for the body of a missing 7-year-old boy.
Human remains were found in a barn on the property. Although the remains have not yet been identified, local authorities believe it is the missing child. Police believe that Jones beat the boy to death and then fed him to the pigs in an effort to get rid of the body.
The boy was one of 8 children who lived in the home with Jones and his wife. The other 7 children are now in protective custody, according to KCTV Channel 5.
Jones has been charged with battering and assaulting his wife and "torturing or cruelly beating" his son sometime between May 1 and Sept. 28. A judge set his bond for $10 million.
