A valley woman says her neighbors have been neglecting and abandoning their two Labrador retrievers for an entire week now. She took pictures to prove it. However, the owner of the dogs says that's not the case.

The woman, who we are calling Laura, says the dogs have been outside in a backyard full of trash for six nights in a row. She says she's been feeding them and throwing blankets over the fence in the neighborhood near East Charleston Boulevard and Tree Line Drive.

The owner of the dogs, Mario Cabrera, says he admits to leaving the dogs unattended but for only two nights, not six nights.

Cabrera says he has been checking on them and feeding them and they haven't been left outside. Cabrera says he leaves the door open to their covered patio which is heated.

"Door is open, heater is on, and they can come in and out whenever they feel like it," said Cabrera.

The neighbor says that's not true.

Cabrera says he and his wife are in the process of moving into an apartment and they didn't get permission to bring the dogs yet that's why they had to keep them at their house that they just sold.

Animal Control says they received a complaint and went to visit the home. Animal Control says the owners said they were taking care of the dogs and there is nothing further to investigate.
