After more than 35,000 entries and 10,000 people participating, KTNV's Win a Mini Cooper for the Holidays Giveaway has a winner!

Gene White was selected Saturday morning in the KTNV parking lot among 17 total finalists. All the finalists received a $100 Fabulous Freddy's gift card. Fabulous Freddy's was a sponsor of the contest.

The Mini Cooper is White and his wife Lori's first new car. The couple has been together for nearly 29 years.

Gene White entered the contest 11 times throughout the month of November.

He won the contest as he is recovering from esophageal cancer. Due to his treatment, he didn't say too much after he won but said, "It feels pretty darn good." He also said it was "unbelievable."

"I think we're in a dream," said Lori White.

White is a musician who has been living and performing the Las Vegas area for more than 30 years. He's been the musical director at casinos in Las Vegas and Laughlin and produced a show at the old Aladdin hotel-casino.
