Wild weather leaves damage around Las Vegas, trees down, power outages

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The National Weather Service in Las Vegas issued a thunderstorm warning at 1:35 p.m. and soon after the strong wind gusts, rain and reports of hail started to come in.

NV Energy is reporting several power outages throughout the valley. You can view current outages at NVEnergy.com.

The City of Las Vegas is reporting street signs down and power lines. A reminder to never touch downed power lines and to call 911 to report them.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue tweeting about many trees down throughout the valley including this one at an apartment complex.

Wind gusts quickly swept through the Broadacres Marketplace located at 2930 Las Vegas Blvd in North Las Vegas.

13 Action news received this video from near Cheyenne Avenue and Lamb Boulevard of a dust storm sweeping across the area.

There are reports that part of the screen at West Wind Drive-in came down during the high winds this afternoon.
